E3 (Ecstasy to the 3rd Power) Day One

Today is the official start of E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo).  If your a gamer, this is like the granddaddy of events.  To get in you have to be on their invite list.  You have to work for a website of company that has millions of customers and worldwide influence.  I fit neither of those descriptions.  But I am still down with the Ecstasy that is E3.  Today E3 officially kicked off, even though things have been going on in LA for a couple of days now.  And Microsoft started kicked off the show by showing us their newest add-on for the 360.  Their Project Natal will be officially named, Kinect and will be for sale in the US this November and will work with existing 360 consoles.  Here is a look into Microsoft’s brain:

Another cool game we will be able to get our hand on is going to be Lord of the Rings: War in the North.  This baby will be out sometime in 2011 for the PC, PS3 and 360.  Unite your Fellowship…

EA also gave us a glimpse into the Multiplayer aspect of their upcomming Medal of Honor game, this trailer gets me excited.  BATTLEFIELD BAD CO ON CRACK>>>

This fall for the 360, PS3 and the PC you may want to set sail and enjoy the new Pirates of the Caribbean game (keep in mind this is Disney folks) :

Now something for Wii fans.  The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword was show off today by Nintendo.  This might be one of the coolest Wii games ever.

And here is Miyamoto using his Wii controller while playing the new Zelda:
