Nvidia GeForce GTX 460

Nvidia finally released a GPU that supports Direct X 11 and does not cost$350+. The Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 will run you $199.99, but does surpass its counterparts in some areas.  The Direct X11 Tesselation is superior for one.  I’m glad to see Nvidia getting back to reality.  The Fermi was cool, but not many people have that much money to spend on a Graphics Card.  This baby will at least get serious consideration from gamers and brings Nvidia back down to reality, and in competition with ATI.

Here’s the Pitch from Nvidia:

“Tailor made to hit the gamers’ sweet spot, NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 460 delivers revolutionary levels of price/performance. With up to 4x the DirectX 11 tessellation performance of the competition*, GeForce GTX 460 packs highly detailed visuals into your games – without sacrificing high frame rates. And with NVIDIA® 3D Vision(TM), PhysX®, and CUDA(TM) technologies, GeForce GTX 460 powers all the incredibly realistic effects that your games can throw its way.”
