What is the Fastest Selling Console?

Great question my friend, and the answer lies within the confines of a sushi bar, aka the Wii.  Who woulda thought the one console that is far behind its counterparts (360, PS3) in terms of graphics and adult themed games would be leading in the sales department?  There is not doubt that the Wii has a large fan and user base, drawing Mario fans, young children, soccer moms and go-kart gear heads from across the world to the Nintendo brand.

Worldwide the Nintendo has sold over 71 million units.  Here is a quote from Nintendo’s American VP of sales and marketing that sums up Nintendo’s mindset:

“More than any other video game system in history, Wii has expanded the world of video games to new audiences,” said Dunaway. “This milestone is another reminder that people want fun games they can play with others – all at a value-minded price.”

And no matter how much I despise the Wii, I cannot deny that people have a blast gaming the thing.  And that is nothing to be ashamed of.
