For many PC gamers Blizzard is their “go to” company. The relative low system requirements and the highly addictive nature of games that Blizzard produces, such as StarCraft 1 & 2, World of Warcraft and Diablo 1 & 2 keep PC gamers hooked on Blizzard’s flagship games. There is no doubt that they have a special place in the PC market, and a special place in many gamer’s hearts. But what ever could their plans be for the future…
Diablo 3 is set scheduled for release sometime at the end of 2011 followed by a few expansions. The first expansion should be in the fall of 2013 and the second expansion in Q4 of 2014.
StarCraft 2 will have an expansion towards Christmas 2011, and the second one around the New Year of 2013.
World of Warcraft’s 4th expansion will hit sometime in Q2 2012, followed by a 5th in Q4 2013. And there is also a World of Warcraft movie that is supposed to be hitting theaters sometime in Q4 2012.
Titan, Blizzards mysterious MMORPG is set for release towards the end of 2013. This is the biggest leak, as it is a new game from Blizzard, something they are not too fond of creating. They create new content and expansions, sure, but a new game, not too often.
