Valve/Steam making the Leap to TV’s?

Valve Software will be giving us all insight on their latest plans (not Portal 3) to bring their popular PC software Steam to our TV’s.  Valve has been trying to push in on new markets more an more in the recent past.  About a year ago they released Steam for MAC’s and made many of their games (HL, CS: Source, DOD, LFD) more MAC friendly.  The full details will be available later this week.

Valve basically wants to “enable gamers to enjoy Steam and their library of Steam games on more screens throughout the house.”

And I commend them for it.  There has not been any Valve flops that I can think of, they usually are spot on with their products and services.  I don’t know if this is something that I would be interested in as I am just as happy as can be using my computer to access Steam, but there sure is a market for it.

I wonder if this will be something like OnLive’s service, but instead of streaming a game from on of their computers, the game would be streamed from your computer.
