Skyrim Dx11 News

Ausgamers recently did an interview with the makes of Skyrim and asked some of the big questions we are dying to know!!

“Basically, it’s mostly a DX9 game in terms of how the shaders work. When it comes to DX11 there are things they give us for free in terms of performance gains, and that’s really what I meant. So we get performance gains out of it, versus an older version, and there are specifics that DX11 does like tessellation and that kind of stuff; we aren’t taking advantage of that right now. But that doesn’t mean we won’t in the future, we just aren’t right now.”

They do also say that there will be MOD support so thats good thing i guess..This is really disappointing news for most of us PC gamers. When will the gaming industry finally figure out we dont want games that belong released 4 years ago! We want current games with all the current technology..Real shame i wont be paying for this game until it releases directx 11. Full interview here.

“..Real shame i wont be paying for this game until it releases directx 11″ Same. Meh, I would even have taken leave for this game; now, I don't think so.

"..Real shame i wont be paying for this game until it releases directx 11" couldn't have said it better myself. Hopefully they will release the dx11 patch for skyrim not long after release a bit like crysis 2. fingers crossed. :)
