I don’t know if I didn’t realize this or truly didn’t know this. But CS: GO will be CROSS PLATFORM, meaning you can own nubs playing on either a PC, PS3 or Xbox 360, in potientally the same server! I think we’re looking at a revolution in FPS online games here to put it frankly. Having Counter Strike re-done once again is juicy enough, but having CS: GO available on multiple platforms, get outta here. It’s gonna be hot! Here are some stats from Valve about how popular the CS brand still is today and the latest trailer for CS: GO:
Peak Players in the past 24 Hours (8-26-2011):
CS (1.6 and Source) — 110,496
Deus Ex: Human Revolution — 46,380
Football Manager 2011 — 27,565
COD: MW2 — 29,309
Black Ops — 19,993
LFD2 — 11,040
CS GO has got my attention, big time. Since Counter Strike 1.6 and Source have given me so many great experiences and fun times gaming, CS GO has got me Going! And the console communities should be able to enjoy many of the mods that the PC community creates for everyone, win win.
The Beta for CS: GO begins in October, keep your eyes open for this one, it just may revolutionize the FPS genre and the way we play online once again.
