9-11-2001 was a date that is stamped into most all American’s heads as a tattoo of local tragedy. Sure there are global tragedies happening day to day, but who gives a shit? Unless something happens in our back yard we hardly look around and see what is going on outside of our lives/city/state/country. But I remember being in class, seeing the news of the 1st plan that smashed into the Twin Towers and watching the 2nd plane crash into the 2nd tower Live. What a “wow” moment. I remember saying out-loud, “some people are gonna die for this” and die they did.
Last night I watched Loose Change 9/11. Which goes into detail about the strange series of events leading up to 9/11 and some rather strange events that took place on 9/11 as well. The thing to keep in mind is that the loss of the innocant civilans is not something that will go away or loose its importance. The thing to keep in mind is that our government can be and is shaddy as shit. I’m not saying there is a better model out there, I’m just saying don’t believe everything you hear and read.
But besides all the conspiracy theories about 9/11 it was still a sad day in US History, also a day that can be attributed to 2 lengthy wars the US Military has been involved in, Iraq and Afghanistan. Where we have lost many great men and women and other countries have had their cities and civilian population destroyed as well. For Democracy? For Oil? For 9/11? If you’re big on conspiracy theories…cough possible truth…cough…also check out 911Truth.org.
Anyway, take some time today to remember the victims of 9/11. Think about the events of September 11, 2001 and don’t forget them. We are not untouchable, from the outside or the inside.
