Since day one, 10 years ago or so, I’ve had the hots for Hitman games. Few things in these virtual words we find ourselves in are quite as satisfying as laying out a few bad-guys while dressed like a priest in a church. Hitman is back, and I’m damn glad. Absolution is the name of the game this time, and is set to come out on the PC sometime this year. Happy happy, Joy joy!

I really really want to be excited for this game as I’m a huge fan of the Hitman games (Blood Money was amazing) but from what I’ve seen in the gameplay this looks more like Splinter Cell: Absolution than an actual Hitman game. I mean sure it has Agent 47 in it, but from what I’ve seen in the gameplay there is way too much duck and cover involved and it looks a lot more linear. The darkness of the levels also annoy me as well, because what I enjoyed most about the past Hitman games was the fact that you could hide in plain sight. Now its all duck and cover and follow the walls. Anyways, I really really hope they show some better gameplay footage or else I’m going to have to skip on this game.
