Another puzzle game in the indie market! It’s almost like these guys are running out of idea’s – and if that’s the case, we are all F%#&ED!
Droplitz is a game about things falling, you guide the falling balls into particular paths – and the goal is to get them to reach a tile that has a dead end on it. With two-three “bead”spawners are the top, an equal number of dead ends at the bottom, a rotating tile maze in between with Tetris style clearing – it sound like it should be simple, and addictive. A bit like Tetris, yeah? Except it just seems to be lacking in that department, somewhere.
A very lovely looking game, alive with colour, art and a simple soundtrack that is busied with all of the in game effects. It sounds like a solid core to begin a great, simple, addictive game – but nothing kept me playing it. Even with the highscores feature, multiple unlockable game modes, I felt no compulsion to keep playing the game, to unlock the new game modes, and have a good solid fair go. I played it a few times, gravitating around the same score. I put it down and moved on. I’d give this one a miss!
Tetris that isn’t addictive? Don’t tell me more.
