WAR THUNDER!
I needed to make that as explosive as what I am about to tell you: Massive Multiplayer Online War Game. Yeah, you read that right. Pilot planes, Tanks, Frigates, Artillery cannons and even Bombers! It started Open Beta a little while ago, with the premise that ground and naval combat for players will be added in later – currently that side of it all is AI. My fears when I read this was scope and depth achievable, usually with a game that has so many different types of gameplay in it, it loses complexity with each added angle.
But as you just saw, that is absolutely not the case. The detail achieved in the cockpit, and the aviation physics rivals Janes’ back in his relative prime! Not only that, but this game looks pretty freaking good for an MMO! It’s as if someone got BF1942 and said “You know what? This needs some ‘roids, a bit of crack, and a shot of blow just to top it off.” I’m shaking in my chair from excitement to get at this game, and you will be the very first to know how it plays. Also, I have a hard on for P51-D’s, Spitfire’s, and BF109′s. Just for a bit of equality.
Pearl Harbour anyone?
