Realm of the Mad God is a new F2P Game on Steam. You can get it here right now if you wish. It’s a very small download, actually a browser based game and has tons of potential. I downloaded it the other night and and just waiting for that perfect time to fire it up for the 1st time. Boasting to be the first every cooperative MMO Bullet hell shooter (WTF) Realm of the Mad God looks like a game that will appeal to Minecraft lovers all over. Do you have what it takes to team up with other online gamers and take down the Mad God himself? Only time will tell. Did I mention it’s free? Well if not…IT’S FREE! Go check it out, you know you want to. Continue reading

First Glimpse at Far Cry 3
Far Cry (the 1st one) was shit. The controls were sloppy, driving was a pain in the ass and the gun-play could put any kid with ADHD to sleep in minutes. So since I had such a boring time playing Far Cry (the first one again) I didn’t bother with Far Cry II. But Far Cry III… Well, let’s just say I’m not entirely convinced. The trail is pretty amazing I must say, but I’ve seen some pretty amazing trailers in my life that have built up hype for a game and said game turns out to be shit. So watch the trailer, we’ll find out later this year if this is just part of the hype bubble or an actual indication of a possibly high quality game we might receive. Continue reading
KSelman Programming with XNA – Space Invaders – Part 1: Getting Started
XNA: Getting Started
Before I get into trying to teach anybody anything via the tutorials, I want to ensure that everyone understands what XNA is and how it is structured. A good understanding of what you are working with is key to how well you will utilize it.
This is more for the straight up beginners of games programming, but you will need some programming experience in order to understand what is going on. I would highly recommend making some basic programs in C# before you come anywhere near XNA, or any other languages for that matter.
If you think you have got what it takes, I aim to make this as informative and easy to understand as possible.
I also must stress that any code I ask you to write in these tutorials are actually written by you. Copying and pasting will do nothing for you, you need to type it up, it sinks in better that way. I would also suggest you type up the comments as well, for future reference. Continue reading

Another Gem to the PC: Alan Wake
We just got L.A. Noire on the PC not too long ago, but how lonely it is on the mean streets of LA in the 1950. Why not shed some light on the matter? Lame you might say, well then I would counter with this…Alan Wake is coming to the PC. What say you now? Hum, thought so. Wanna know what someone inside the development team says about Alan Wake on the PC, well here. Continue reading
Direction and Purpose
There is beauty in simplicity. I like when things go smoothly and are not over complicated. I want for AirborneGamer to follow in simplicity and beauty that is hard to come by when every site out there has flashy banners, tons of adds and less than compelling content. I want more.
